Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist at our Administration Building in Rexburg, Idaho. This position works 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours as needed. The expected pay is $_____ per hour, DOE.

Job Description

• Oversee daily accounting entries in general ledger accounts.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Prepares for month-end closing of general ledger accounts.
• Oversees all reporting requirements to IRS and other financial agencies.
• Performs bank reconciliation and adjustments to accrual accounts.

Qualifications

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software programs, accounting systems, electronic communication systems, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and in person.
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion.
• This position may require extended periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
