We are seeking a full-time Chief Technology Officer to work at our Administration Branch in Rexburg, Idaho. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing all technological aspects of the credit union. The CTO works with Executive Management to grow the credit union through the use of technological resources. Using active and practical approaches, the CTO will direct the efforts of technology vendors and counsel with the management team about best practices and strategies to operate efficiently and serve our members effectively. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours as needed. The expected pay is $_____ per year, DOE.

Essential Function & Responsibilities:

• Directs the credit union's technical vision, efforts to achieve technological objectives, and leads all aspects of the credit union's technological development.
• Works in a consultative fashion with management and staff as an advisor of technologies to improve our efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide technology support to members and employees in a fashion supporting the Credit Union culture, mission, vision, values and brand. Ensure technological products offered to members are best of class.
• Works with IT vendors (third-party solutions) to ensure all hardware and software is functional and contributes to effective and efficient work by staff.
• Acts as a good steward of the Credit Union's resources and ensures control of technology budgets.
• Assists in identifying and managing the relationship with our core data processor. Works with management and marketing to produce strategic information (reports) using core data to achieve strategic and marketing objectives.
• Will actively engage in needs-based selling.

Qualifications

• At least five years of practical experience in technology, information systems, or related fields.
• BS in the Information Technology area.
• Thorough knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks, and application software development.
• Must have excellent resource management, project planning, organization, human relations, and communications skills.
• Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
• This position may require extended periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Must possess the ability to lift and carry items sometimes weighing as much as 50 pounds.
