Position Full-Time Construction Loan Officer at our Rexburg, Idaho Administration Building. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours as needed. The expected pay is $_____ per hour, DOE.

Job Description Assists members with their home construction lending needs, analyzes loan requests, and makes credit decisions based on mortgage lending policy. Reviews and evaluates financial information to determine if member, property, and loan conditions meet credit union or outside underwriters standards. Approves or denies applicants, or requests additional information. Establishes terms and conditions of an approved loan and closes with member. Examines documents such as deeds, disclosures, draw requests, etc. to ensure legal compliance and adherence to credit union policy. Maintains a construction account spreadsheet to keep track of draw requests on each loan file. Contacts targeted real estate agents monthly, networks with respected and competent home builders, building relationships of trust, and gaining member and nonmember referrals.

Performs other duties as assigned and performs all duties in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Works at or attends community events as assigned. Strives in all that they do to enhance the member experience at BFCU, including actively engaging in needs-based cross-servicing.

Qualifications Two year college degree and two to five years of similar experience preferred. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Physical Requirements

Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
