Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Controller at our Administration Building in Rexburg, Idaho. Full time hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with an hour long lunch break, with Saturday hours as needed. This position directs the establishment and maintenance of the organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the maintenance of its fiscal records and the preparation of its financial reports. Directs general and property accounting, cost accounting, and budgetary control. Appraises operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends, and increased pro t opportunities.

Summary of Major Job Responsibilities

• Oversees the management and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and the entries necessary to close the books each month. Prepares for financial statement audits and National Credit Union Administration examinations, and provides supporting documentation as requested.
• Accurately produces all regular monthly and quarterly financial reports on a timely basis. Prepares the quarterly consolidated financial statements and call report. Prepares other financial reports, income statements, balance sheets and budget variance reports for management and the Board of Directors. Prepares the annual reports. Assists in the annual budget process.
• Reviews the status of cash account reconciliations weekly and directs the research of out of balance accounts and correcting entries as necessary.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of controller experience required. Advanced knowledge of accounting software required. Experience with ALM modeling software strongly preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics with relevant prior work experience. A CPA or MBA is preferred.
• Expert use of Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and applicable State and Federal regulations.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
