Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Learning Development Specialist to work in our Rexburg Administration Office. This position will work 40 hours, Monday-Friday, with Saturday hours as needed. The expected pay is $_____ per hour, DOE. The Learning Development Specialist will design and develop technical and soft skill learning solutions based on learner needs to achieve desired learning outcomes.
Job Description
- Serve as learning management system expert to design, develop, and revise instruction materials and courses using personal knowledge, subject matter experts, and authoring and content management tools. Work with all departments to develop specialized training materials that align with Beehive FCU's strategic objectives and business plan.
- Analyze and identify training needs to determine if objectives, course content, and instructional delivery options (i.e., e-learning, simulation, role play, lectures, etc.) are appropriate and maximize mastery of subject matter and skill development. Tracks the progress of trainees through routine tests, observations, and feedback from supervisors.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Operations processes. Serve as Operations specialist to provide knowledge and training of back-office policies and procedures to frontline employees.
- Assists with ongoing teller training and implementing updates, policies, and procedures. Assist in implementing consistency among branches and departments.
- Assists with new employee orientation.
- Performs other duties as assigned and performs all duties in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Works at or attends community events as assigned. Strives in all that they do to enhance the member experience at BFCU, including actively engaging in needs-based cross-servicing.
Qualifications
- One year to three years of similar or related experience. Outstanding organizational and writing skills required. Experience developing training programs and resources is a plus as is financial industry experience.
- Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Must possess effective oral and written communication skills required to present information positively, professional, logically, and concisely with a focus on the end user.
- Knowledge of presentation software, training/content authoring software, Microsoft Office programs; 10-key, and internal programs such as our data processor, the cross-servicing system, and PolicyTech is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
