Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Mortgage Loan Closer to work at our main office in Rexburg. This position will work 40 hours, Monday-Friday, with Saturday hours as needed. The expected pay is $_____ per hour, DOE.

Job Description

The Mortgage Loan Closer schedules loan closings; and compiles and processes closing documents.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare closing documents.
• Enters settlement figures and produces a compliant closing disclosure.
• Funds loans after closing.
• Assembles documents for delivery to title company or lending officer for closing.
• Verifies accuracy and consistency of all information in the file.
• Records loan information on government reporting forms for the HMDA report.
• Completes reconveyance work for paid off credit union loans.
• Reviews and signs off on the VVOE.
• Will actively engage in needs-based selling.

Job Requirements

Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Two year college degree or specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
