Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking an Operations Manager to direct and coordinate a broad range of activities, including but not limited to all back office functions. This position works toward accomplishment of all related objectives, especially related to high quality member experiences. In accordance with policies established by the President/CEO and the Board of Directors, responsible for effective and efficient operation of the organization. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and Saturdays. The expected pay is $_____ per year, DOE.

Major Job-Related Duties

  • Directs and supervises employees; hire, train, assign, coach, motivate, and discipline. Conducts performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments and promotions. Partners with the training department to design and implement effective training for relevant personnel.
  • Directs the activities of the operations department and supervises the associated functions in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedures to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the credit union. Ensures that adequate supplies are on hand to support all operations.
  • Identifies systems, technology, products, services, and processes that are not working or offline and troubleshoots solutions until they are working.
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of operating policies, procedures, and objectives. Ensures compliance with and implementation of approved policies, procedures, objectives and regulations.
  • Ensures good working relationships with other Credit Union department personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and performs all duties in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Works at or attends community events as assigned. Strives in all that they do to enhance the member experience at BFCU, including actively engaging in needs-based cross-servicing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A minimum of one of the following: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • This position may require extended periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Must possess the ability to lift and carry items sometimes weighing as much as 50 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
