Position and Role

Seeking Full-Time Operations Supervisor at our Administration Building in Rexburg, ID. This position administers, assists, and backs up several programs in the Operations Department, fosters good working relationships with other departments, and is a trusted resource for information and problem solving. Assists in leading Operations department to achieve its goals while looking for ways to streamline and improve. This position works 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. The expected pay is $_____ per hour, DOE.

Job Description

  • Oversee account opening and maintenance procedures ensuring proper regulation implementation, while finding ways to reduce fraud where possible. Oversee deceased accounts, ensuring the accounts are closed properly and funds are appropriately disbursed.
  • Specializes in Beehive IRA transactions, auditing, and tax reporting.
  • Researches and makes corrections to member accounts in accordance with credit union guidelines and procedures. Responsible for collecting, tracking, and compiling employee errors. Works closely with departments to gather relevant errors and produce a comprehensive quarterly report for management.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate the employees assigned to this position.
  • Ensures all general legal requests including levies, garnishments, subpoenas, and search warrants are executed in a timely and professional manner. Ensures member research requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Performs critical operational tasks including but not limited to auditing of wires, share drafts, BillPay, Beyond Pay, Zelle, RDC, etc. Oversee end of day procedures. Supports other positions within the department as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned, including helping with miscellaneous Operation projects. Performs all duties in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Works at or attends community events as assigned. Strives in all that they do to enhance the member experience at BFCU, including actively engaging in needs-based cross-servicing.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree preferred.
  • The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Contact with others is usually of a personal nature therefore confidentiality is most important. Must have good communication skills.
  • Should feel comfortable with multiple software and data processing systems.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
